The Riiser is a stand that you put under your Wii Fit balance board. It brings the top of the Wii Fit up to a full 4 inch height., which is the standard height for step aerobics. When you are performing step excercises on the Wii Fit minigames, you will get a much better workout.

The Riiser made by ZooZen, is an add on for your Wii Fit Balance Board.
The Riiser is a stand that you put under your Wii Fit balance board. It brings the top of the wii fit up to a full 4 inch height, which is the standard height for step aerobics. When you are performing step exercises on the Wii Fit minigames, you will get a much better workout.
For some reason I thought the Riiser was just to make your Balance Board higher off the ground if you were using it on a carpet, that’s why I started off testing out the Riiser with We Ski & Snowboard. Playing We Ski & Snowboard I was immediately amazed by how much better control I had over my character. When I played the game before the rug tended to absorb the Balance Board as I would lean. The Riiser kept me on a very sturdy pedestal. I liked what I was feeling and decided to try out Wii Fit.
When I went to get the Wii Fit game I read the box that the Riiser came in and I saw the part that said; “It brings the top of the Wii Fit up to a full 4 inch height, which is the standard height for step aerobics.” That’s when I put 2 and 2 together and realized that the the Riiser wasn’t for better control on carpet it was to increase your exercise performance.
A non-interactive stepper for [...]$.
Now armed with some more knowledge about the Riiser the first game that came to mind was Advanced Step mini game in Wii Fit. I didn’t have a heart monitor hooked up, but holy sh*$% did this thing make my legs hurt (in a good workout kinda way) and my heart race… I played Advanced Step 3 times with the Riiser and 3 without. I can say without a doubt this will increase your aerobic excerise for this particular game. In other games it feels a lot more sturdy, especially if your Balance Board is on a carpet.
One BIG problem for me in particular (this most likely won’t affect many other people) was the fact that the 4 extra inches that the Riiser added to the height of the Balance Board, put my head 2 inches into the ceiling of my basement gaming room/play room/office. I had to stay slightly hunched over the whole time testing this out.
I used the Riiser for Wii Fit, Skate, and We Ski & Snowboard. In every game it improved stability and in Wii Fit it increased my cardio.
To fix the wobbly nature of this riser — simply cut circles out of grip it drawer and shelf liner and put it inside the cups. It shores it right up!

Cheaply made but effective
If I hadn’t pre-ordered it – I don’t know if I would buy it again – but unless I wanted to put the balance board on top of a wooden box – there was no alternative when I bought…

Horrible
The product is just unstable – poorly made.
Great idea – poor execution.

pros and cons
I have used this product after reading all the reviews. It is true that the board moves slightly when stepping on and off, however it is a very slight movement.
I read the other reviews of this product and wondered if we were talking about the same thing. I did not find the riser stable at all. It felt like it was sliding when you stepped on it and you could hear it move. I use the balance board and riser on carpet, but this is not the problem. The riser does not fit securely on the balance board. I wish it would have been made to fit better.
Having said this, it does make a big difference in the cardio workout you do. I used it in the Advanced Step aerobics and my legs are feeling it.
I would like to see Wii come out with an all step aerobics program.

Very unstable – Beware may damage your wii balance board!
I was very excited about this product — so excited I preordered it — and now I wish I had never heard of it.

I thought I was missing the end caps.
I thought I was missing the end caps that would secure the extension to the balance board. But, after reading the reviews here it seems that I am not missing anything.

Do Not Waste Your Money
This product does what it says it does – it raises your balance board four inches which brings it to standard aerobic step height.
