Games Rare
It is an unfortunate fact that online games would also imply that a remarkable amount of rudeness, vulgarity, poor sportsmanship, and plain old bad manners. Some gaming communities are a little more mature than others, but you can generally expect this kind of misbehavior in most multiplayer games you will encounter. I understand people online is largely anonymous, and can be very emotionally involved in the competition, but that's not reason to throw any semblance of civility or morality. I've put together some indicators of good etiquette of online games, although I suspect that the worst offenders are unlikely to take note.
Fair Play
Traps and the use of exploits is an admission that you can not win without them. You'll also find a fair fight and win much more rewarding. If winning is really important to you, keep practicing and learn from what players are doing it successfully. Competition should prove to be too difficult for you, to find a different game, like ?????? 365 is a better solution than cheating.
Being a good sport
Laughing defeated opponents, boasting of their accomplishments, with insults and emotional exaggeration, all make you look childish. The fact is that even children should know better. Proper emote used at the right time can be a beautiful thing, but when it accompanies each encounter in games, it becomes spam much more nonsensical that brings us to our next rule.
No Spam
I really do not need to hammer the chat system WTS with messages to sell an item, nor do you need to use all channels in the game when there is a channel devoted to trade. If people are not interested, do not repeat chatting message every 3 seconds is likely to change that. Wait a minute or two, and maybe you will start to move to a new audience.
Protect us from the Caps
Come on people, this is a truism that has existed since the dawn of the Internet – do not use all capital letters in chat. This is the text equivalent of shouting everybody, and nobody wants to be shouted.
You were a Noob Too
No one can catch a moment of new games and become familiar with all nuances and details. There are lots of acronyms and jargon particular to each game, and it is absurd to expect people to know about these things without a little help from other players. Someone once explained what was going on, now you can do the same, instead of simply saying they are "noobs" and leave it at that.
A little teamwork, please
If you are part of a team, try to cooperate with his teammates a little. Rambo-style games rarely worth playing in a team-oriented, so do not expect your teammates to be right behind you when you go Kamakazi in a handful of enemies. Also note that actually winning the match is more important than being at the top of the table.
Do not be Quitter
It's amazing how often people say to disconnect without a word when you are losing, or abandon them when their group meeting is not right. If you do not think you can win, surrendering. If your race such as not going well, try to work politely out or offer some friendly advice. At a time when your group is not up to par, explain the problem to others, without insulting them. You never know what kind solutions people come up to give them a chance.
Not everyone who wins is a cheater
The fact that another player kills you a couple times does not mean that they are cheating. As good as you may think you are in any game, there are probably lots of players who are as good or better than you. If you're as hot as all that, then start LAN play professionally in tournaments where there is no way of cheating. If you are almost sure that someone is cheating, report to a manager and let investigate instead of throwing around accusations you can not do.
Camping Lame is a tactic
While some games encourage, camping spawn points and corpses is a lame tactic. In many cases it is only possible due to defects in game design, but it remains a weak strategy that players with dignity does not recur.
Ignore insults
When someone insults you, your best bet is to ignore them. If you continue to insult, most systems have voice chat and 'Ignore' functions to ensure that communications are blocked rear surface. Returning to the insults typically only increase the exchange of something that you regret later.
Enjoy the show
Games are meant to be fun, and if you can not laugh about it when things go wrong, or forgive a team member to bolt, then maybe it's time for a break. Most of us have enough stress in our lives, I care not to add a lot of gaming for that effort. When you start taking very seriously, it defeats the purpose of playing a game in the first place.
