As with every video game system upgrade, backward compatibility (the ability to play previous systems’ video game titles) becomes a key issue. While many, mostly stationary video game systems, have offered backward compatibility for discs and cartridges, handhelds like Sony PSP , Nintendo DS and now, the DSi , have proved more problematic.
