User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars perfect for 6 year old girl
This game works out perfectly for my my 6 year old daughter. She is able to play this on her own for the most part (just needs help to spell out new pets names.) She is working through the games, and does not get frustrated when playing the easy levels. She is able to earn enough “kibble” to be able to buy train tickets for the new pets. She also needs some help with reading the instructions for new games, and pets. She is very entertained by the new pets, which she earns access to fairly easily.

It is unfortunate that this game does not appear to have a multiplayer mode of some sort, as it would be great for when her friends come over. The font that the “mailbox” instructions come in is rather small and difficult to see as well.

I would imagine that an older child would exhaust the ‘fun’ of this game rather quickly, so a younger age range would be appropriate.

5 Stars Big Fun for Littlest Pet Shop
Bought this for my 8 year old niece, a big Littlest Pet Shop fan. This game did not let her down. And the Amazon service was fantastic, can’t beat it for speed!

4 Stars Very happy with this purchase!
I purchased this game for a 6-7 year old who loves animals and it is perfect. You are able to name each pet and take care of them as you get new ones. As new pets arrive, you unlock new worlds and new games for the child to play with their pets. The only thing is there is alot of reading involved when new worlds/pets/games become available. So, if the child you are buying this for doesn’t read so well, be ready to help them along in the beginning. Either way, it’s fun for everyone (even to watch!)

2 Stars Your child must know how to read to enjoy this game!
We purchased the Wii system for Christmas of 2008. We chose 2 games for each child. For my son, who’s almost 7, we bought Lego Star Wars and Mario Kart, both of which we love. For my daughter who is 5, we chose Disney’s Think Fast and Little Pet Shop. My daughter is very bright but, due to her October birthday, is not yet in kindergarten and, as a result, has yet to learn how to read. So, this game is pretty much a bust for us. There are many instructions that pop up during the game. My daughter was unable to play without me sitting by her side. Also, the mini-games were difficult for her to handle using the remote control so she became bored very quickly. Perhaps this will change once she masters the Wii controls. Looking at the screenshots above, it seems there might be a lot that we haven’t discovered yet but, at this point, my daughter doesn’t want to play the game at all. Additionally, a good friend of mine whom also purchased this game for her daughter (my daughter’s best friend at school), has had the same experience. We both wished one of us had purchased it first and could’ve warned the other not to waste her money. Sorry!

FYI-Disney’s Think Fast is really fun, especially if there are two or three Disney movie fans in your household. My family plays in teams so we can spread “the experts” onto both sides. :)

2 Stars My girls don’t play it
I purchased this game as one of the first games with our new Wii for Christmas. I also bought My Sims: Kingdom. My oldest daughters ( 10 and 7 ) were excited to play. They played this game for about 45 minutes, and then moved on to other toys. The oldest has played My Sims: Kingdom a bit since then, but neither of them has put the Littlest Pet Shop back in the drive. They prefer Wii Sports, My Sims, or even their old game cube games Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing to this game. I thought they would love it because they have quite a few of the Littlest Pet Shop figurines. I guess there’s just not enough game here for them.
