This piece of tidbit is one for the Aussies. Tim Cahill, the Socceroo’s ‘hero’ during the last World Cup, has been enlisted to become a FIFA 10 cover athlete. He’s not the only man fronting for the job though, as fellow English Premier League (EPL) player Wayne Rooney will be alongside Cahill for the gig. According to Gamespot , Netflix hired John Funge as "Head of Game Platforms." The success of Netflix on the Xbox 360 must have them eyeing the PS3 and possibly the Wii as the next game system to support. When asked to comment on how Funge's Nintendo background and Sony connections might help him at his current gig, a Netflix corporate communications spokesperson said the company "doesn't comment on specific individuals' job responsibilities." The gig: President and chief executive of Broadcom Corp., the Irvine semiconductor company that supplied more than a billion chips last year for cellphones, set-top boxes, televisions, computers and the Nintendo Wii. Broadcom made $215 million in profit last year on nearly $4.7 billion in revenue.

Posted at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 15 Alec Baldwin opened his 14th gig hosting “Saturday Night Live” by fielding questions about his “30 Rock” co-star Jack McBrayer. He probably wishes McBrayer was hosting the show. I doubt that even Baldwin’s “30 Rock” character, NBC exec Jack Donaghy, would have liked it.
